Yep, another leaked track off of Drake’s upcoming much anticipated “Thank Me Later” album.  The lovely Ms. Alicia Keys really adds an extra dimension with her emotional but silky smooth vocals.  We see more of a sensitive introspective Drake who briefly touches upon relationship issues he has expeirienced in his past.  We also get a brief peak into his past as he speaks on being abandoded at a young age my his father.  This track definetely has hit written all over it…

Two more classic hip-hop tracks, from my favorite time peroid in hip-hop(Summer 1992), to get this weekend’s cookout jumpin.  Tell the DJ set aside the Soulja boy,  the lil Wayne,  and the Young Jeezy tracks for a minute and let the true old school hip-hop heads folks party for a few…

TAZ ARNOLD FT MAJOR – SOUTHSIDE BLOOD CUZN

Dope new video from TAZ Arnold of SA-RA.  I’ve been a SA-RA fan for a few years now and definitely looking forward to TAZ’s new solo album coming out.   The video is directed by Coodie & Chike for Creative Control and Wood Harris aka Avon Barksdale. There’s also a quick cameo by Kelis as well.

Unless you have been living in a hip hop cave for the past year  you have heard Jay Electronica’s powerful track “Exhibit C”.   Well known MCs from Fabolous to Papoose to Nas have flowed over this beat.  This is the radio rip of the  now classic track, something about the raw feel of a certain radio rips I enjoy.  Peep the “The World Famous Mr. Magic Rap Attack Presents” drops and the other sound bytes added to the track…

I had the rare opportunity to catch 2 of my favorite artists perform live in my own backyard here in the DMV. I was able to go backstage and meet with both Dom Kennedy and Curren$y. Both of these dudes are real down to earth and had no problem choppin it up with me and the rest of their fans. On top of that both gave dope individual performances and even teamed up for the last song of the concert. Peep the Roc-A-Fella chain around Curren$y’s neck. Check out the video. Please excuse the quality as it was recorded on my Iphone, LOL. Enjoy and let us know what you think. Pics coming soon…

A private listening party was held at Damon Dash’s DD172 studio in New York City for the first release under the newly resurrected Roc-A-Fella Records.   Curren$y’s “Pilot Talk” is slated for a June 15th release date.  Check out some of the tracks sampled in the video and let us know what you think.  I have been eagerly anticipating  this one ever-since Curren$y’s last release “Smokee Robinson” (see “read more”).
