As you have heard by now Atlantic Records has been holding Lupe Fiasco’s anticipated album “Lasers” hostage for some time now.  However, fans worldwide have decided not to stand idle while this happends and have started an online petition  requesting that Atlantic Records release the album.  As a thank you to his fans for their continued support, Lupe has released BMF (Building Minds Faster) and I think I speak for all Hip Hop fans when I say thank you Lupe for this jewel.

Wow I remember rocking these in elementary school.  Never played in these at recess and always took the tooth brush to them after walking home from school.  Glad Nike has decided to add these to the retro collection.   The Diamon Turf’s are currently on sale for $105.

Two more classic hip-hop tracks, from my favorite time peroid in hip-hop(Summer 1992), to get this weekend’s cookout jumpin.  Tell the DJ set aside the Soulja boy,  the lil Wayne,  and the Young Jeezy tracks for a minute and let the true old school hip-hop heads folks party for a few…

New York, Concrete jungle where dreams are made of , Theres nothing you can’t do, Now you’re in New York” – Jay-Z Empire State of Mind

Stay tuned for a full review of my trip to New York.  It was my first time visiting, and it was a very intersting contrast to living in Washington, DC.  By the time I got back home I really felt that DC seems really country compared to New York.  New York offers a ton of things to do if you like to keep busy, a transit system that damn near runs 24/7, and is truly one of the dopest places to visit if you like to travel.

But stay tuned as I write a review about each location and theme, The Broadway play Fences starring Denzel Washington, An appearance by Oprah and Gayle Williams, Taxi drivers that drive like they are in NASCAR, a tour of Ground Zero, The Famous Canal Street and ChinaTown, meeting GoldBerg, and much more.  Stay tuned…
