During the filming of Transformers 3 on location in the Nation’s Capitol on October 11th a D.C. Police department SUV crashed into the 2010 Yellow Chevy Camaro known as “Bumblebee”. Despite the accident their were no serious injuries to the drivers (does Bumblebee require a driver LOL) of  both vehicles.

As a D.C. native and long time Transformers fan I have a funny suspicion that there is “more than meets the eye” here!  I suspect this  may have been the work of Megatron and the Decepticons…stay tuned…

Movie Review – The Professional

This movie is timeless, and ranks as one of my top 10 films.  The movie stars Natalie Portman (Star Wars), and Jean Reno ( Mission Impossible,  Ronin).  When Mathilda (Portman) parents are killed, she is a witness to the scene, and takes refuge with neighbor( Reno) who is actually a hired hitman.  The two build friendship and a bond.    Quick 10min Spoiler, but if you have not saw this film I suggest you rent it.

Wow this looks something serious!  I’ve been a MK fan for years since the early Ninetendo and Sega years.  The Mortak Kombat Short starring Jeri Ryan as Sonya Blade and Michael Jai White as Jax.  The short, which clocks in just under eight minutes, is a more gruesome depiction of the video game franchise and is chock full of gore and Saw-like cinematography.

Ryan confirmed on her Twitter that the film was done as a favour to her director friend, Kevin Tancharoen, to help him sell his vision to Warner Bros. Tancharoen has had a less-than-stellar track record having directed the Fame remake as well as the MTV-reality show Dancelife.

But if this short becomes a feature full-length, it may very well redeem Tancharoen’s spotty CV as well as inject some life into the ailing video-game-to-live-action mode of film-making.
